Lost Ships 02:52
Heavy Oak made with Old time hands Hide scrapes the dust like sand Like getting tossed in the salt and the blood From some Old Briny Place Ghosts come along who lost the way back a way Looking out wasting time while today sinks away And the cold doesn’t hurt anymore Running across these datelines Yeah Feeling just like lead in the early morning light And the years seem harder than before Haul away Adios No one steals my last soul Forgotten never gone Like the old things down below Five to ten yeah Let it ride Shot at Noon but Can’t add the time And My wheels turn across all points on the line. Yeah Five to ten yeah let it ride My wheels turn along the line

Sitting here in the sun, nowhere left to run I’m wondering with the thoughts and not the only one I think I watched it start but I’ll never see it pass Like a mountain town train running way too fast. I got all the best views Along the unknown Routes Paying top price for my drifters suit I feel so damn low like a soul paying tolls They judge it at it’s low but never walked this road See you can’t pull it up like a pair of work out socks But I’m living in some dream from along time forgotten Yeah along time forgotten…. I got all the best views Along the unknown Routes Paying top price for my drifters suit Yeah and rainbow stew Just some rainbow stew.

Runaway Main 01:36
Up today with quite a boom, I’ll say it’ll make you move Down there it’s boiling high, which side she chose to fry I smell the sound of old fuel pumps letting go I smell the blood of an intake cooking black gold No stop allegory I’m gonna watch it just explode Segway’s and bad takes this runaway is gonna make a hole Well god said kill me a son, but they just lit off number one I smell the blood of an intake cooking black gold I smell the sound of old pumps saying adios ! No stop allegory I’m gonna watch it just explode Segway’s and bad takes this runaway is gonna make a hole

Cutting Hay 03:32
Summer way, Down the road Lies the life that waits for me In the Hay and rolling Hills Miles to go in this dust bowl Where’s there to go or to hide Dust clouds hide a restless mind A little ways from Ada’s Opine Like a shovelhead exit from the homestead My money wouldn’t stretch that far But I run to find work on these backroads It’ll be year before I get too far Boom town trouble blurs my eyesight I’ll hide away and leave it all in dust I’m so fast, well they can’t catch me I’m so fast, well ya can’t catch me Like an old song, working hay in the breeze Fire across the sea, well shores of European And war time blues, I hope to see it through Home, I’m coming Home, Dear I’m coming back to you

It’s a bad role, head to toe. I felt low just old. But oh how low then would I go There’s still some low oh left to go Feel kinda old but still got some left to go Well I’ll set here if ya don’t mind until the low gets up and goes It’s been too long in my soul, I don’t mind anymore I don’t mind to take some ride away out to a cold clear hole I’m no transplant, just trying to make a life Living young and wild I’ve walked this creek for miles Taking my lows and gonna set it down in the cold place below Down in a hole but I’ll fill it up nice and slow Down in a hole but I’ll sort it out floating down Down in a low but I’ll sink it down slow in this ol watering hole Taking my lows and gonna set 'em down in a watering hole.

Wildest One 03:32
Just some wild rider, never took the fools gold road Speed keeps it moving, hearts follow her across the room Any old day she can feel the death song buzz Steel starts to buckle, she’ll find another on the fly Rising up over the flames She’ll get along all the same She’s the wildest one in this place Like a big wave rider or old hand out on the desert plains Not afraid of heart breaking any time you to try to play some game Any old day she’s drinking the death song buzz Taking the long wild ride, no matter if the seams come undone Rising up over the flames She’ll get along all the same She’s the wildest one in this place She’s the queen of the wildest place Rising up over flames She’ll get along all the same She don’t need you to give her rights She got her own kind supply She’s gone make her own name Smiling happy in the rain Gonna be out late tonight Burn the blues at midnight
7.
Oh won’t ya give me a smile I know it’s been too many miles We all live in your heart all the time She said hey babe where ya going tonight I’ll just head down the road and hope we don’t get in a fight And in this world I know I gotta go play my part I hope we don’t break anymore of Moira’s heart Neighborhood dogs bark late on through the night There’s so much trouble out and can’t stay outta fights We’re kids in the road but cars don’t stop or slow Pretty soon my luck’ll be spent paying tolls Oh won’t ya give me a smile I know it’s been too many miles We all live in your heart all the time She said hey babe where ya going tonight I’ll just head down the road and hope we don’t get in a fight And in this world I know I gotta go play my part I hope we don’t break anymore of Moira’s heart

Wide place in the road Touching nothing but Time Waited a whole life to say Ya gotta shake off this ride Take it all abound babe On the back of borrowed Somethings are towed away And somethings are owed And old Frames rusting away everyday Just keeps ya chasing dreams far away We grew through the truth Like the old souls of youth Started driving for days To find it’s all the same With your hoarse spoken lines A pick up that won’t stall Fight off the liars, Then ya grow mighty tall 90 Miles an hour, Straight for the wall Ain’t we feeling tall babe A whistle stop fire ball……

Before the Railroad lines Old West was one A borderless sight Stretched a Horizon Same ol type of Earth That feeds all the soul But No Roads I know Can take that way home Fight to see it now Maybe Dream it whole Times like the sun Stay forever on the run Fight to see it now Maybe Dream it whole We can make it now Stay forever in the sun
10.
Held out for a bit of old and wise end up feeling a little scandalized Sneaking around some ol Railroad Line, unfiltered unlucky strikes We can Roam like the dogs far from home Cause ya can’t keep a wild thing on loan There’s a million hollers round these towns, click away and use the wifi code Growing up simple on Grandad’s land that place was lost long ago We can Roam like the dogs far from home Cause ya can’t keep a wild thing on loan And in this role my bedside manner is kinda stoned I don’t know how to get down the road with this tone Then Time kills the road somethings guide along this way Every song a new day Old stones with no weight All the Way

about

Written by Jonivan Jones and Recorded by Jonivan Jones and Mike West in Arkansas and Texas.

Mastered by James Plotkin (Plotkinworks).

After several years of traveling and putting in some miles to travel to play live music as a two piece consisting of guitar and upright bass, a sound and collection of songs was polished into creation. The cover is of a scene that was observed in the early hours of the morning after covering some miles and performing these songs in the desert.
